Club Calipso is a hostess club on the N-II road, at kilometre 649, in the les Sènies area of Cabrera de Mar, in the Maresme. It lies about 25 kilometres from Barcelona: by car it is reached via the N-II itself or the C-32 motorway, which has an exit at Cabrera, and by train the nearest Rodalies station is Cabrera de Mar-Vilassar de Mar, on line R1, less than a kilometre away. It never closes: it is open at any hour, any day. The club presents itself as a place for everyone: you can come with friends, as a couple or on your own, whether man or woman, for a drink, to meet people or to go up to a room. As its website explains, it holds a music bar licence with private booths, and its business is based on selling drinks and renting rooms, with or without company. Its facilities include a lounge for a drink, private booths, private pools and several BDSM-themed rooms with dedicated furniture, low lighting and background sound. Private rooms can also be booked to host a party. The club says that arrivals and departures are handled in complete confidence. Booking is not essential, although the club advises getting in touch beforehand to make sure of availability or a more tailored visit. One distinctive feature: guests can set a spending limit in advance, and the staff make sure it is not exceeded. It takes cash in euros, pounds or dollars, as well as Visa, MasterCard and Bizum.
